Hamilton 1/16

Are you struggling with your choice of Saturday activity between shopping or running. Well consider that this Saturday's weather is predicted to be in the 50's and the way our winter has been going it may be the last time we see such temperatures for a while.
Besides which, wandering around a crowded mall is like being trapped in a cage among animals with cell phones as appendages. While running across Loudoun County in winter is like being trapped in a freezing wind tunnel with no oxygen.... no wait.... it's like gliding effortlessly through a field of fragrant wildflowers. Yeah, that's it. So Saturday looks like a good day to smell the wildflowers between Loudoun County High School and Hamilton. You can get in 20 miles by running from LCHS to meet the club for the Hamilton loop and then a quick sprint back to your car. (Hamilton Out-and-Back) So state your plans here and complete the sentence 'Running through Loudoun County in the winter is like _________'
Where/When:
- Saturday: Meet at Loudoun County High School 6:45 a.m. LCHS is at the corner of Catoctin Circle and Dry Mill Road in Leesburg.

Submitted by heidi on Fri, 2010-01-15 13:02.I plan to run 10-11 miles, so I'm going to start at the Mill in Hamilton (or someplace on the edge of town) and run to the run from there, do the club run, then back to my car... if interested, let me know and we'll work out details...

Meeting location for club run
Submitted by Tom Simonds on Thu, 2010-01-14 15:37.If you plan to start at LCHS and meet the club for the regular loop, note the new starting location. The club run will start at Hamilton Elementary School on S. Kerr St. After you make the turn onto Rt 7 in Hamilton you go maybe a quarter mile to your second left onto Kerr St.
