Directions to the Start

From Leesburg: West on Rte 7 to Purcellville exit. Left on Rte 287 to Business Rte 7. Right on Business Rte 7 to Rte 690 (at 2nd 7-11). Left on Rte 690 for 6 miles to Rte 734, Snickersville Tnpk. Left on Rte 734 to Jeb Stuart Rd. Left on Jeb Stuart Rd. Community Center on the left.From Route 50: West on Rt. 50 to Snickersville Tnpk. (just past Aldie). (NOTE: The speed limit in Aldie is a firm 25 mph, and the local gendarmes love to give tickets to speeders.) Turn right at Snickersville Tnpk. end follow it for a little more than 7 miles passing the first Jeb Stuart Rd. sign. Turn right at the second Jeb Stuart Rd. sign. You’ll know it’s the correct one because the general store, fire hall, and community center are all right there.

Directions for the Norm Loop (~19 mi.)  <——–BRING A COPY OF THE DIRECTIONS

• Starting at the Philomont Community Center, follow Jeb Stuart Road across Snickersville Turnpike to Beaverdam Bridge Road.
• Make a left onto Beaverdam Bridge Road and follow it to Leith Lane.
• Make a left onto Leith Lane and follow it to Hibbs Bridge Road.
• Make a left onto Hibbs Bridge Road and follow it to Snickersville Turnpike.
• Make a left onto Snickersville Turnpike and follow it to Watermill Road.
• Make a right onto Watermill Road and follow it to North Fork Road.
• Make a right onto North Fork Road and follow it to Shelburne Glebe Road.
• Make a left onto Shelburne Glebe Road and follow it to Forest Mills Road (727). [Note: the street sign got knocked down and has disappeared. Watch for the little sign for county road 727.]
• Make a left onto Forest Mills Road and follow it to Ward Hill Road.
• Make a right onto Ward Hill Road and follow it to Hughesville Road.
• Make a left onto Hughesville Road and follow it to Foundry Road.
• Continue straight on Foundry and follow it to Lincoln Road.  (Note: At the Hughesville/Foundry intersection, Hughesville is the left turn, and Foundry is straight ahead).
• Turn left on Lincoln Road and follow it to Chappelle Hill Road.
• Make a right onto Chappelle Hill road and follow it to Telegraph Springs Road. (Note: Chappelle Hill runs straight onto Telegraph Springs at the intersection with Hughesville)
• Follow Telegraphs Springs Road to Greggsville Rd.
• Make a left onto Greggsville Rd. and follow it across North Fork Road all the way to Jeb Stuart Road.
• Make a right onto Jeb Stuart Road and follow it back to the Philomont Community Center.
