I'm not even going to try to make a connection between the Rat Fink and the Norm Loop. My creativity only extends so far. Saturday's run is Lincoln which means the Norm Loop. 19 miles of fun on the back roads of Loudoun County. Meet at the Elementary School at 6:30.

Potomac Heritage Trail on Saturday
Submitted by PatMiller on Fri, 2010-08-20 10:42.Anyone interested in running the Potomac Heritage Trail on Saturday? We're looking to do 10 - 12 miles, but since this is an out-and-back course, you can do any distance you wish. (Great Falls is about 10 miles away, which would give you a total of 20.) We're meeting at the Potomac Sportsplex parking lot at 7:00 a.m. The Sportsplex is on Cascades Parkway. It will be on your right just before you enter Algonkian Regional Park.
This trail is mostly flat and very runnable (not many rocks to worry about), so it's perfect for anyone who has thought about trying some trail running. As usual, this is a self-supported run, so bring your own water and snacks.
Also, don't forget the Breakfast Run on Sunday in Lovettsville!

So here's a connection . . . . Even though he was internationally famous for his kreatures and kars, you could still find Ed Roth--creator of the Rat Fink--in the phone book right up to his death. I'll bet Norm--creator of the Norm loop--is in the book, too, and he's much more likely to answer his phone.
It's a stretch, I know, but it was worth a try . . .
