3/20 Faith Chapel
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both .... Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--- I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference.
I relate this fragment of a famous poem from Walt Whitman Robert Frost for one reason.... It makes me look intelligent and sensitive. In fact when I take the road less travelled it's usually because I'm following someone with a GPS watch who insists on even mileage.
This weekend has a number of possible roads. If you need mileage to finish those Boston or Blue Ridge Parkway Marathon preparations then a couple loops at Faith Chapel on Saturday may satisfy. Sunday's run is the W&OD at Greenberry's which can morph into just about anything of any distance including the Moye Marathon . And for the truely truly disturbed there's the option of doing both. In the spirit of collaboration I'm leaving the details up to you. Suggest a where/when/what and see what evolves.

Submitted by Karen on Fri, 2010-03-19 14:12.Hi! I'm doing MUCH better! (I've been back to PT and have been able to work out a lot of the muscle spasms...and even run a total of 30 m. this past week!)
Good news.
I want to attempt an EASY 18 tomorrow, so a couple loops of something shorter sounds perfect...that way I can stop when/if I need to.
I'll be there and ready to roll at 6:50! I'm looking forward to seeing you all again!

Two loops
Submitted by heidi on Fri, 2010-03-19 07:52....but only if they equal even mileage on my GPS. :-) Matt, I'd say I'd join you, but you'll be faster than I can be. I'll be there about 6:50, though, if anyone wants a slower first loop. :-)

Submitted by tlhsimonds on Fri, 2010-03-19 09:46.6:50 is too early for a Saturday morning, but I'll be there. I'm up for 2 to 3 loops, with possibly the 3rd loop being the short distance. My loops will be slow and involve a fair amount of walking.

Carpe Fork
Submitted by T-bone on Thu, 2010-03-18 10:55.I had to get this one in before Diane does: The one thing that "truely disturbs" me more than misattribution is...bad spelling.
Walt Whitman
Submitted by Tom on Thu, 2010-03-18 10:02.Damn! It's been brought to my attention that the poem is by Robert Frost, not Walt Whitman! Oh well, I'm still sensitive.
Old Shoe Collection for Ghana
Submitted by PatMiller on Thu, 2010-03-18 08:56.Hey All,
The club is doing a shoe collection with Potomac River Running to benefit Ghana. Please go through your old running shoes and see if you have any to donate. I'll be collecting them whenever I'm at a club run, or you can drop them off at PRR. I'll be at the Faith Chapel run on Saturday. I'm also usually at the Tue/Thur morning runs. So, throw those old shoes in your trunk, and the next time you see me - GIMME THOSE SHOES!!!
Thanks!
Pat
